I was wondering if you've ever heard of a band called Clatter. They're based in the Midwest. It's a two piece (husband/wife). He plays drums; she plays bass.
I went to see them in Chicago about six weeks ago and also picked up there CD. They make alot of racket for two people.
The reason I thought about you is that they're doing their thing the old-fashion way...themselves.
If you ever get a chance, check out some of the sound files on their site, Clatter (http://www.clatter.com). I think they'd be a great opening band next time you head through the Chicago area (they're from Missouri).
And no...I'm not affiliated with the band at all. Just making a plug for some really nice people.
