I just switched to Ernie Ball flats on my Ibanez SR300DX...

...as I play up on the neck (higher) I on the E string, I get a note that is actually sharper. B on the ninth fret reads on my tuner close to C. I get an F# reading on the 12th fret. Yes, the open E is in tune. This doesn't happen on any other strings, and hasn't happened to me with any other set. I'm fairly new to playing, and am wondering what could be the cause. Perhaps I should reset the action?

sounds like your intonation is off. if you have a good tuner, you can fix this yourself.
