Our band is thinking of doing a battle of the bands at a church thing...

We have a keyboard player (who sings) , drummer, guitar, and me on bass.

We can play two songs, what two would be fun an get the crowd going? thanks!

One of the two should be "Workin' for the Weekend" by Loverboy... :)

Are you forced to 2 songs? Or do you just have the time it takes to play two songs? If i had to enter in a battle of the bands i would probably do something like Metallica did at the VMA's this year. Im not sure you saw it but they played about 30 seconds of all the most important rock songs this decade (or something like that :hmm: ) And it was good! I am no fan of metallica but i thought it was a great idea! ;) Not sure if that helps....

If you only have the time for two songs, make them two good ones.

Scuttle Buttin'-Stevie Ray Vaughan
Backwoods-Red Hot Chilli Peppers

If you can play two songs, make them awesome, epic songs.

Roundabout-Yes
The End-The Doors

These are just suggestions, by the way.

What I think is that all the bands should perform the same song and be judged as to how well they perform/inspire/impart their abilites to said cover. It just wouldn't make for a very exciting show!:(
