I'm building a fretless 4-string, and I'd like to get some suggestions on pickups. It's a medium (32") scale, wenge/beech necktrough with ash/masur-birch wings.

I have a EMG Select humbucker, but I'm not sure if I want to use it. What type of pickup(shape(MM/P/J/..)) would give me the most options?

I'm also putting together one. I was thinking of going with bartolinis. But I don't know which ones. Maybe someone can help.

I thought I'd add that I'm thinking single passive pickup, wired to a concentric vol/tone pot.
