I'm using an iMac with OS X and IE 5.1. I don't know how to give you a screen shot either. I figured it was one of the "graphics issues" you hadn't worked out yet. Let us know if you need anything done on our end. Peace- Oysterman 01-31-2004, 07:01 PM MSIE 5.00, 1024x768 resolution, scrolling necessary. Infact, on my first visit to the new TB when loading a post it took me about 5 minutes tofigure out that I had to scroll to find the posts! Peace- Apple(CMD)+shift+3 = entire screenshot Apple+shift+5= selectable screen shot I think there is a way to do it of just the window you are in too, but it slips my mind at the moment edit, then upload the picture here, you'll need to convert it to jpg too, graphic converter is bundled with the panther I think, if not, you can download it from www.versiontracker.com or www.macupdate.com Tecx 02-01-2004, 12:33 AM here is what I see.. and we can't upload mp3's anymore??? :( Alex Wally Malone 02-01-2004, 01:04 AM I E 5.2.2 on an eMac, have to scroll down. You could always get rid of the advertisments ;) CaracasBass 02-01-2004, 12:38 PM so is this just for Apple's? i don't have that problem in XP... It is certified to work with our necessary web based applications. IE 6 is not. We are not allowed to upgrade any of the base software on our workstations. So you see, this isn't an option for me at work. At home, I am running Windoze XP Pro and IE 6. No problems with that. Stephen Soto 02-02-2004, 11:50 PM how often do you go on TB at work :p? embellisher 02-03-2004, 12:01 AM how often do you go on TB at work :p? SSHHHH! IE 5.x users, let me know how it looks now. I'm crossing my fingers here - just spend 6 hours hacking through php code :( JimK 02-03-2004, 04:14 PM Paul- ...you're a genius! I appear good-to-go! ;) guyplaysbass 02-03-2004, 04:15 PM I still have to side-scroll to veiw entire posts but the huge gap at the top of every page is gone! Thanks! paul 02-03-2004, 04:28 PM I still have to side-scroll to veiw entire posts but the huge gap at the top of every page is gone! Thanks! Is the side-scrolling a new problem? The change I made should not have stretched out the screen any more... What screen resolution do you use (800x600?) Also, what browser version are you using? The change I made should not have stretched out the screen any more... What screen resolution do you use (800x600?) Also, what browser version are you using? Paul- I'm running IE 5.1 on an iMac with Mac OS X, screen resolution is 800x600, and the side-scrolling was only ever an issue (before) when someone had a large pic or attachment in the thread. I've had to side-scroll since the up-date, including now with the fix. It's not a huge deal and for some reason it's not happening to me in this thread (???)! paul 02-03-2004, 05:25 PM It works fine in the forum threads, however the announcement of the fix looks like this... oh, the irony. :D Hahaha. Man... Ok, try it now :) Paul Oysterman 02-03-2004, 05:30 PM :) Chris_AtariDoll 02-03-2004, 05:57 PM looks good to me :) well done HeavyDuty 02-03-2004, 10:27 PM Win2KPro, IE 5.0, a glass of port. Looks good to me. No side-to-side scrolling, either. Thanks for the fix, Paul! Bruce Lindfield 02-04-2004, 03:44 AM Yes - today it seems to be fine - yesterday I was finding it slow-going and things kept changing back and forwards between views. But the bugs seem to be gone now - thanks a lot Paul - hopefully this will mean that it works for everybody!! :) guyplaysbass 02-04-2004, 04:18 AM Paul- I might have figured something out that could direct you toward the problem. I'm still having to side-scroll but only when I log onto the sight through the home page (FWIW I stay logged in and have TB bookmarked in my "favorites"). In contrast; If I follow the link in the e-mails I get in reply to my posts, I don't have to side-scroll (even if it's the same thread I'm looking at!). For some reason the side-scrolling is only happening when I log onto the site through normal channels and not through the e-mail reply links. Maybe this will narrow things down for you. Here are the exact links to a few threads. The first one is from the e-mail, the second through logging in- http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1315681 http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=114847&page=2 And here's another thread from the amps forum- http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1315332 http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=114635 Thanks- secretdonkey 02-04-2004, 09:47 AM Looks good here (MSIE 5.0 / Mac) - thanks, Paul! :hyper: emandell 02-04-2004, 11:28 AM IE 5.50 on NT 4.0 its ok for me now, I dont have to scroll down anymore guyplaysbass 02-06-2004, 11:29 AM Paul- The side-scrolling issue I've been having is now worse. It happens on both the e-mail links and through logging in. It is worse in the respect that I now have to scroll side to side to read an entire post as it doesn't fit in the box on the screen. :help: paul 02-06-2004, 05:16 PM Paul- The side-scrolling issue I've been having is now worse. I can't recreate the problem myself... :(I'm having an odd related (?) problem. I don't have to sidescroll (and don't even have a horizontal scroll bar in most cases), but have noticed the right hand edge of the screen is often *under* the vertical scroll bar. When this happens, it cuts off the right hand border and the last character or two of posts. embellisher 02-10-2004, 12:20 PM I'm having an odd related (?) problem. Notice how the bottom post is cut off at the right side, and I have no scroll bar at the bottom. HeavyDuty 02-10-2004, 10:23 PM Surfing at work again, eh Jeff? ;) |
