i'm really impressed by the bass sound in the new song by pop rockers ASH. the song is called 'shining light' and in the video the singer is swimming under a lot of water. can you help me in trying to recreate that bass sound. i know it is so simple, but i'm not able...maybe it's fever fault.

the bass player uses a Gibson Thunderbird (strung with three strings:rolleyes: ), and plays hard with a pick close to the end of the fingerboard. use two pickups full on, with boost at around 2.5k on your amp.
I have to say that most Ash basslines are a bit boring, but on this song it looks like his playing's got a bit better.

ever here the song girl from mars? i think thats a kick ass ash song, bought the album 1978 but ended up returning it. i still like the song though
