I've been asked to rewire my friend's brand new ES-335 with coil tapping, and I know exactly how to do it, only I don't know how to get inside the guitar. There's no back control plate, so how do I get inside to rewire?

Do I just unscrew the pots, pull all the wires out through the F-hole and do it from there? Get everything back in with wierd tools to line things up right?

You might want to do a search over on the MIMF in the archives about this subject. The builders over there have come up with many interesting solutions to this prob.

Sweet, ES-335 here I come.

Just let me ask, do you think it makes more sense to have seperate switches for splitting each humbucker or the same switch? My friend is thinking about dropping a 500T in the bridge and leaving the '57 Classic in the neck...
