For you guys that are doing custom wood pickup covers, how are you attaching them to the coil assembly? Are the coils normally set in something like epoxy, or just press-fit? Thanks.

When I did my first (and only to this date) set of wood pup covers, I mulled over the same problem. I originally was going to use silicone but realized that if I ever wanted to get the pup out without tearing up the windings that route wouldn't do. What I wound up doing was to use light foam around the coils to hold the pup up inside the cover. Some of the same foam in the bottom of the pup cavity and I was rockin' :bassist:
