I apologize in advance, but I did use the search button and the terms I tried didn't provide what I was looking for.
I have a mid 70's Precision (with the truss rod adjustment at the base of the neck. It's got a phillips shape). I haven't set it up yet as I baby it way to much but it really needs adjustment.
So, does the neck needs to come off for this? It looks that way, but I'd like someone to confirm this before I start turning things.

If previous owners haven't carved out the pg at the TR adjustment, then you'll have to remove the pg. You don't have to totally remove the screws - you can back the forward screws out just a little and the rear screws a bit more an the neck will tilt up to expose the TR adjustment. Use a large flat blade screwdriver instead of a phillips head. You'll get a better grip.
And remember, only a ¼ turn at a time!
