My '51 RI P-bass was stolen from my house in Berkeley on monday. It is 2 tone-sunburst, white guard, with a bridge cover (crookedly mounted no less). It is strung with D'Addario strings, so the colored ball ends would also be a giveaway, as well as the DiMarzio clip lock strap, which I imagine is still attached. Unfortunately I don't have the serial number, but I remember dating it, and the Fender site said it was from around 1997, which apparently starts with an "A" after the CIJ mark on the heel of the neck. It has a few dings and dents, notably one by the ferrules on the back, and on the back of the headstock, at the bottom of the rounded part, below the Fender logo.

In this picture it is the bass on the right.

I don't imagine it will have travelled far from the Bay Area. but who knows. If you see a bass like this around the Bay Area, take a good look at it, it might be mine!

If found, contact the Berkeley Police Dept: (510)981-5900, in reference to case number: 04-32489
