Yesterday I bought a contra amp and a realist pickup. I like them both a lot. my proplem is that one of the two ( I don't know which one) dosn't have enough high end clarity. They sound great when I EQ it with Much boosted high end, and a little bass rolled off, but it's still not clear enough. I'm very impressed with the way the contra behaves, and am led to believe that my problems lie in the realist. Is there any thing that can be done about this somewhat muffled sound. I am in shock about how much a step up this is from the fishman. my bowed sound is almost compleatly accurate.

I used a Realist for a while and really liked it, but your lack of high end is coming from there. The only way I could really get it to work well was to mix it with another pickup. The low end on the Realist is killer, though.
