Has anybody listened to Attention Span Radio #1 on Apple's ITunes internet radio stations list?
I'm listening to all these bands (no names are given), and they're all fuzak sounding groups with an Allan Holdsworth clone guitarist and either a Marcus clone or a Jaco clone on bass. I didn't know there were so many guys out there who were such flawless copies of these guys! Really impressive but really -- are there that many gigs out for them?
Anyway, the channel kind of makes you contemptuous of fusion when it boils it down to such a formula (one part Jaco, one part Allan, one part Chick, on part Vinnie = fusion). However, it's better than the progressive rock channel. A little.
