I'm interested in finding the best DI Box... And a local engineer mentioned the Radial J-48 was the best for the $. Has anyone ever tried it?

http://www.radialeng.com/di-j48-features.htm

I have tried:

The Countryman
Aguilar's DB900
Behringer's DI Box
SansAmp BDDI

To me the Countryman and the Aggie were the most solid built and good for the $.

Thought? Experiences?

I just bought one a few weeks ago and have gigged with it.

It's the most solid, well-built piece of equipment on earth. It doesn't load down passive basses and cannot be pushed into clipping by active basses (in my experience).

I got mine for $215 CDN so it's pricier than most boxes, but you won't regret it.

It's proably the best thing out there as far as DI'S are concern (check out Behringer DI'S also) I loved mine when I had it but I sold it because I 'm going to get the Avalon U5 DI in a few days, but all of the Radial Engineering components is good stuff.
