I've tried searching help, but could not find an answer, so here goes -

I have one existing thread which keeps sending me email notifications. No matter what I do in options, the entry marked 'instant' stays instant.

What do I have to do to keep it on my 'subscribed' list, but stop it sending me emails?

If you keep changing the options for subscriptions under My Talkbass>Subscriptions, and it keep reverting back, you might try deleting your cookies, clearing out your temp. internet files, etc..

It's not that it changes back, it just doesn't change.

I can click the box for notification, and unclick it, but the column that carries the 'instant' tag seems to be locked and cannot be altered.

Make sure you're following all steps of this procedure:

From your subscribed threads list in My TalkBass:
- Click the box to the right of the thread
- Scroll down to the bottom, and select "No Email Notification"
- Click the GO BUTTON
