"Soul to Sqeeze" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers that is. I am having some problems with the parts right after the intro and it's driving me crazy. I have already looked at the TAB and at a published songbook, but they both leave those parts out and seem to be incorrect at some other places, too. In my opinion the song doesn't quite work without getting this exactly right and I would really appreciate any help.

This is what I got so far. It also describes where I am having problems:

I don't think so. Not to offend you, but those links don't really help at all. First of all, I don't think that tabs will really help me here. Second of all, those powertabs.net tabs seems to need some kind of windows software to be read. I have a mac. Third of all: what is that power-tab.com site supposed to be?

When you say "it's between the C & D", could it be a ghosted(X-note) note...maybe played with the OPEN A(or OPEN E) or a muted/ghosted note where C# is played(between C & D).

Sounds like he's sliding into the note...the tune almost has a fretless vibe about it.
One of his better performances, IMO.

I have figured out a way to play that part that is in my opinion more accurate than any other transcriptions I have seen. But the differences are not too big. If anyone really cares I can tab it out. Otherwise, thanks for the help.
