okay, I would really like to know what people are talking about when they say this certain part of the music is in 5/4 or 3/4, or 3/8 etc. timing.

Can someone give me a brief explanation on what each number represents and whatever else I should know. thanks.

also what is a measure...my friend told me, but i forgot. I Looked down the list and found the information already here. so the first part is covered. but if someone wants to go into greater detail...thats fine. Im also interested in strange timings.....like 12/8 and all the other ones i listed before.
