Bolt on neck. How do you handle the huge neck pocket? do you make the neck first the trace the neck onto the body the route? Any tips or tricks?........t

I built the neck first put a straight edge down each side of the neck and a block at the end lined the neck up with the center line of the guitar clamped the edges down taped the end bloack down with double sided tape removed the neck and used the edges and block as a guide for a bearing guided cutter in my router. To line up the neck to make sure it is straight in relation to the body tape a ruler to the body round about where the bridge will be. and line up the straight edges so they are equal distance from the centre line.
