Blackbird 07-28-2005, 07:48 PM is there anyway that we could have a chat now that doesn't cost money? You could start an unofficial TalkBass Chat room in Yahoo or something... The one we had here never really caught on... it was a bit like having a trampoline in the back yard getting all rusty and covered in leaves... abngourmet 07-28-2005, 07:48 PM I used it almost every day when it was available. Count me in. Alan MAJOR METAL 07-29-2005, 10:25 PM Paul if you could bring that Chat back it would really be great, it was a nice way of catching up with the guys. Thanks :) eric234 08-02-2005, 09:47 AM maybe we could take off some of the forums that never get used like the lounge thing and a few others because they get used less than the chat ever did embellisher 08-02-2005, 08:54 PM maybe we could take off some of the forums that never get used like the lounge thing and a few others because they get used less than the chat ever did Actually, the Lounge is pretty busy. And why would we need to 'take off' some of the forums? The reasons that the chat were discontinued is 1. because few people used it, and 2. because the license for the software cost extra money, which 3. was not a justifiable expense, see #1. There are plenty of options, and for a 30$ paypal donation you can get the copyright removed if you so desire. I personally would use this and since it's free, why not :P. Oh also, vBulletin 3.50 will be going final soon and you guys need to get ready for the upgrade, you're already out of date since there is v3.08 now. paintandsk8 08-04-2005, 03:11 PM just a +1 for the chat return. I used it once a week or more for the last two months before it was removed. MAJOR METAL 09-16-2005, 09:23 PM Hi Paul Any developments on having a Chat again? Conor MacCarthy 09-17-2005, 04:20 AM I did use the chat function too...there were a few tumbleweeds flying around in there, but it was interesting. I'd like to see it again. Bob Clayton 09-27-2005, 06:43 PM i'd use it. not often. but i'd use it. eric234 10-08-2005, 07:16 PM hey just wondering if there is any word on the chat? MAJOR METAL 10-25-2005, 05:22 PM Tonight would be a good chat night. Bushfire 10-29-2005, 09:03 PM i'd use it. not often. but i'd use it.
