VIEW FULL LIVE VERSION : Lakland Skyline JO5
lowmid1 09-01-2005, 07:21 PM Lakland Skyline JO5 ordered about 4 weeks ago from VBTC. Bass is natural w/rosewood board, tort guard and a lakland Hardshell case. This bass was ordered with Aero pickups instead of the Fralins. I also paid to have Lakland do a shielding job on the bass as well. The bass weighs in at 10.2 lbs on my scale and is in mint condition. The bass also has Dunlop straplocks installed. $900 shipped to the lower 48.

jmain 09-01-2005, 10:40 PM Nice JO5. I'm kinda partial to oil and natural finishes. I'd be all over this if I didn't get a Tre-tone burst last week (hey, price was right).

Mastersonics 09-03-2005, 12:04 AM What you didn't liked about it?
do the Aeros sound right in that bass?
Sorry for all the questions but
I need a bass by next week and
want to buy a Lakland for sure.
but still undecided between a JO & DJ (4 and 5 strings)
How about the neck feel between the JO & DJ
plus the weight between them.
thanks for the feedback on the bass
It looks like a good choice
regards,
CJ
lowmid1 09-03-2005, 04:40 AM The aero sound pretty aggressive....I like them a lot. The thing that bothers me is the 35 scale I think. The bass sounds huge...like one big string (B string is awesome). I'm not posotive but I have read that the DJ5 neck was a little chunkier which is why I ordered the JO5 with the DJ5 pickups. The neck is flat and thin...very easy to play. The weight would probably be about the same. I guess it depends on each individual piece of wood though.
lowmid1 09-06-2005, 08:08 AM Bump...then off to ebay.
jmain 09-06-2005, 09:13 AM Believe me, I've been trying to justify taking this off your hands. Bump for a good deal on a sweet ride.

adam on bass 09-07-2005, 01:02 PM what sort of payment will you require(i.e. check, Paypal)?
lowmid1 09-07-2005, 04:15 PM Prefer US Postal service money order but Paypal will work if you want to pay (or possibly split) the fees.
