i ordered a wiring kit from acme guitars.
the threaded part of the shaft of the pots are too lagre to fit thru the holes in my jbass control plate.
whats the best wat to make the holes larger?
has anyone had to do this?

The absolute best way is to use a tool called a tapered reamer. It's about 6" long and tapers from about 1/2" in diameter to 1/8" with a "T" handle. It's got 6 bladed flutes running it's length and you use it for woods, plastics, and metals to ream them out to a slightly larger size. Try the Sears tool dept. for one or maybe the Home Depot tool crib.

wouldnt it end up being cheaper to buy a plate?
