I searched w/no results(I imagine I could wade through the megathread but I'm already 42- I don't have that kind of time left :rolleyes: ); are there any threads detailing mods or upgrades to Brice HXB-6 basses? Specifically preamps & pickups- thanks.

I'm not sure of any threads, but as an owner of a Brice HXB 6 string, I know that Bartolini M56 shaped pickups and EMG45 pickups will both slip in with no problem.

I also upgraded the electronics with a Seymour Duncan STC-3P preamp. I don't like stacked knobs so I unstacked the Bass and treble and drilled another hole so that I have a 5 knob configuration.

Pretty easy upgrades if you are good with a soldering iron. . .

I installed a Bartolini NTMB preamp in mine. Sounds really great now, even with the stock pickups.
