Some (Music Creator) for as low as $40. http://www.cakewalk.com/ It plays midi files which you can download legally and mute the bass part. I have Home Studio, they have a new version called Sonar Home. When they come out with the new version you can get the old versions for cheap. Got mine at Musicians Friend for $50, but they are on ebay too. It does at lot more than play midi I can record with it too. I think Band in a Box cost $80 or $90.
