I've had an overdose of Dixon in my days, but he is definately more solid than Jack Meyers. But with Buddy in the band Meyers is a the man. Buddy + Jack = adventure.

The ultimate noise group:
Drums: Yoshida
Bass: Sasaki
Guitars: Robert Fripp
Sax: John Zorn
Vocals: Mike Patton.
__________________
Funny I read John Zorn... I'm listening to Naked City right now! They are basically where Fantomas get's there sound from already and Patton kind of steals a ton of stuff Zorn already did vocally. Fun none the less..
Here's what I have
Drums: Chris Penne (Dillenger Escape Plan) @ Ken Schalk (Candiria)
Bass: Michael MacIvor (Candiria)
Sax/flute/duck calls/mini tapes: John Zorn
Keys: Rachmaninoff
It'd be different, bring Rachmaninoff back from the dead, let him futz with technology. He's one of the most talented composers/ pianists to ever have lived. Then match him up with the drumming capabilities of Chris Penne and ken Schalk and think how intense the percussion section would be! John Zorn is a nut when it comes to interesting free lance jazz/ noise and is quite trained classically as well. Michael MacIvor is a really good bassist who doesn't follow the conventional role of the bass.
It's be something to ponder.
Peace
-Benny

Nfp01 08-20-2006, 10:44 PM I would quite enjoy an acoustic band comprised of:
Vocals: Tony Kakko (of Sonata Arctica)
Acoustic Guitar/Vocals: Michael Hedges
Bass: Michael Manring
Not sure what drummer, although I highly doubt they'd need one. Regardless, I think it'd be pretty amazing, especially hearing the work Hedges and Manring did together.

That's probably closer than most. Les plays with both Stewart and Adrian... they should all get together! But, you gotta wonder with some of these groups, with all that flash bang going on, would it be enjoyable or just ridiculous!?
My votes:
Power trios

Bonham
Claypool
Belew
Bruford
(wouldn't be hard to hook these guys up!)
Supergroup
Hendrix
Wooten
Hancock
Tim Alexander

MeShelle, Torn and Calhoun perform occasionally in New York as Plane with MeShelle doing some keys and vox. Don't know if they recorded.
