I still can't believe I'm doing this, but I'm moving to a fiver - i'm starting to feel the limitations of a four banger and this guy is now on the block. I dumped $1200 of parts and labor into this guy.
I will ship it in a Fender SKB case. I'm looking to get $800 shipped in the US for it.

I'm looking to put the cash toward a Black Lakland JO5 with a maple neck (a newer one with the graphite reinforced neck) then I can make this deal worth your while.

I'll post more detailed pics soon

Highlights of the bass:

USA Custom Guitar quarter sawn maple neck with a satin Nitrocellulose finish. Amazing nut carved by a local tech and custom neck thickness (this is the best neck I've ever played - If you like a fast neck with just a tiny bit of beef) I really like the Lakland necks (and Tommy has my specs so if I ever want another I can get one:D) So I give you the gift of an awesome neck.

Warmoth Alder body (I have picks of the two piece alder body underneath and it's beautiful - the black finish hides nothing underneath) Quite possibly the TIGHEST neck joint I've ever experience in my 8 years of building YOu could pick this guitar up and shake it without screws and it would stay together! Has great sustain- and a very organic sound - but the Bill Lawrence pickups add a great articuation)

All hipshot hardware

Push-pull pot for series parallel

Tin foil Angela capacitor (very smooth tone control)

Very even break angle for all strings across the nut

Countersunk dunlop Straplocks (I'll send a set of strap inserts) makes for a clean finish and I tight grab while playing.

The only flaw are that there are a few tiny dings on the top of the headstock and a small chip near the upper horn's straplock where I appiled a "bit too much pressure" Oops. (it was touched up though so you can see it - only feel it.

This is hands down the best bass I've made to date (the back of the neck was sanded up to 1500 - very smooth.)

Here are some pics from when I just finished it in November.

What does the bass weigh?
What is the nut width?

about 8 lbs and it's a standard p width about 1.625" or 1 and 5/8"

It's a very comfortable bass to play if I might add for a fedner style instrument IMO

Bill Lawrence PJ set. They are articulate and completely humcancelling.
