I have a 1/8" top on a 1-1/2" Hard Ash base the glue used is tightbond 1 A few places along the edge it didn't glue flat to the Ash. I have heard about using heat. Is that correct? I do have a heat gun. Do I just heat the areas up where the top isn't joined then clamp again or?
Thanks

I've had this problem before. Steam is what you use. I used steam and an old table knife to remove the top. I've also removed edge glueups this way. For steam I use one of those household things to remove wrinkles from clothing. Conair makes the one I use. If you're gonna use a clothes iron, please use a wet rag between it and your wood. And keep the rag wet!

Thanks. Can I just steam it a bit then re-clamp?

yes, that's what I used. Results not guaranteed, but it worked great for me.

Thanks. So you removed it? Do you think I can soften it and re-clamp?
