Monte 07-29-2001, 11:41 PM High end: Schertler Dyn-B, very microphone like, but expensive (around $600) Lower price: I like the K & K Bass max, like an Underwood with a more hi-fi sound. Some people like the Fishman, but I had 3, they always seemed too fragile, although my teacher has had his for over 10 years. I'm assuming you're talking a jazz doublebass, and not a Fender.
