Like your coffee black?.....your whiskey neat?

Well I like my MFD's straight up, which for me, means two things. The L-1000 and the SB-1.

Undiluted, non-polluted, and pure as the driven snow.

Anyone else got a passive jones?

You know the L2000 has a pure passive mode?

I prefer the active sounds I get from my L25k, but the sweet, smooth and thumpy (if those descriptions even work together...) that I get from my L1k are beautiful.

So, Im an active man, but I love the passive as well. Does that mean I'm Bi?

I've been a passive guy for years (keep selling everything that's active (pair of Pedullas, Kramer with EMGs, Godin).

But I do have an L-2000 coming that may change things. Not too tough to yank the pre though...

The preamp is completely bypassed in passive mode, no need to "yank" anything! ::D

I know that it can be bypassed. I may rewire it to run single-coils though.
