O.K. Here's one for you G&L experts..

Why so much extra for a nice top? I've seen quilt top G&Ls priced $400-500 above the non-quilt top models. Yet lots of other makers are only charging a couple hundred extra for the top. What gives?

Even Warmoth only charges $200 extra for a really nice top.

I just don't get it.
