Are there any G&Ls made with alder bodies? Every one I see the wood identified for is either ash or mahagony. Is there some reason for this? I'm a big fan of alder bodied fender-styled basses and would be more interested in G&Ls if there was an alder L2000 made.

Alder on standard finishes, Ash on premier finishes for the L2000, ASAT, and the SB2.
