It's the same body, right?
I'd obviously need to drill holes.

I'd obviously need to drill holes. darkside 88 04-24-2006, 12:48 AM Specifically, a 72 type from Warmoth. lug 04-24-2006, 08:05 AM Here is a pic of one so modified: http://users3.ev1.net/~woodd/blasphmr.wav darkside 88 04-24-2006, 02:43 PM  Ok...now really, I want to know. Of course I have to cut it to match the pickups. darkside 88 04-24-2006, 02:45 PM And if it matters, it's a Tribute which I intend to modify slightly anyhow. Black Schaller tuning heads, black BadAss II bridge, black Gibson type barrel knobs. lug 04-24-2006, 04:35 PM Honestly, I have no idea. Maybe someone with a G&L also has a Pbass pickguard laying around they could hold up to it and see? MAJOR METAL 04-24-2006, 04:39 PM It would be interesting to see a pickgard on an ASAT Bass. spideyjg 04-24-2006, 09:50 PM BadAss II bridge That is gonna be a downgrade. A BAII is a great bridge but the Saddle lock is better. Your bass, your money. The body is routed under the bridge.... Jim http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v186/spideyjg/L1K/L1000009.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v186/spideyjg/SB-1/SB-1001.jpg darkside 88 04-24-2006, 10:13 PM Hmmm...I could keep the bridge and just get the tuners. spideyjg 04-24-2006, 10:27 PM The Tribby tuners have screws that are spaced different than the USA. It may be a bit of woodwork to get something else in there. The tuners on the Tribbys could be better so if you find an easy replacement one go for it. Jim darkside 88 04-25-2006, 10:56 PM ....so are the body dimensions the same or what? darkside 88 04-26-2006, 12:18 AM Nope. I tried to Photoshop a Pre guard onto a L2000...it fits...wrong. The curve of where the knobs are off. It came close though. Beav 04-27-2006, 05:29 PM Nope. I tried to Photoshop a Pre guard onto a L2000...it fits...wrong. The curve of where the knobs are off. It came close though. +1 I've also tried it in the past. darkside 88 04-28-2006, 01:14 AM Looks like I need to order some guard material. mnolansoc 04-30-2006, 08:22 PM definitely post a pic when/if you put a p-style guard on it! |
