I would like my Trib L2500 to have similar levels to my FBB, which has a Bartolini NTBT preamp (running at +9V, if that matters). I can get matching levels by cranking the FBB's trimpot, but only if I run the L2500 in passive mode, creating an impedance imbalance that renders my distortion box (Guyatone BB-X) useless with the L2500. If I have match impedance by running the L2500 in active mode, its output just dwarfs anything that can come off of my FBB.

Any suggestions for how to get around this? I would like to be able to use distortion with both basses, since they have radically different yet equally musical sounds.
