I've had it for 3 weeks, and decided I didn't want to play V after all!

Retail $2400+
Street price $1699.00

MY price (with the same warranty and all parts, tags, and 0-decects or wear): $1350.00

Action is PERFECT! comes with set of Optima 24K Gold Strings tuned EADGC on it, and with an extra low B unused string.. worth $100!
It still has the protective adhesive on the back panels and the made in the USA sticker on it! I hardly touched it since I bought it last month!

The Action is PERFECT! I spent $40 to get it set up properly!

email (samaha at cox dot net) or PM me if you are interested.

It's in Phoenix AZ for pickup, or you can have it shipped ground for $40.

What's out there that sounds close? Are any of the Skylines in the same ballpark?

Frankly I don't care for any of the "law suit" brands like Lakeland, and Sadowsky... not saying the suck, but just don't like the ethics of coping a product and re-selling it like it's your own, just be cause some judge says you can.

I would imagine they sound great.. but just like a good Cognac must come from France, a good Fender bass is made by Fender in the USA.

Most fenders are so inconsistent though. You can almost never buy a fender sight-unseen and expect it to be great other than a few models like the FMT series or the SRV guitars though they've made great improvements in the last several years with the american deluxe series...

These days, if you want a good fender, you might be better off buying a suhr or sadowsky unless you have return privelages.

IMHO, nothing is close.

I have one of these, and I'll never, ever give it up.

No you just can't hold a $1000 or $500 Fender to the standards of a $2500 Sadowsky... Compare apples to apples... my Custom Jazz bass is a better bass than any copy.. IMHO.

Killer bass!

Yeah, hated to let it go, even though I have the 4-string version, but I'm just not a 5-player... It's now on it's way to a guy named Randy in Socal who can't wait for it to arrive! He got a great deal when you consider it was BRAND NEW condition and with a $100 set of strings!

oh well... the GAS syndrome has cost me a lot lately!
