Ummmm......The lighter the gauge---the "slinkier" the string.

slinky is just a tearm that ernie ball uses for all their strings. its basicly instead of light-medium-heavy, instead ernie ball has...Super slinky, Hybrid Slinky, Slinky, and Power Slinky for bass. (i think thast the order) and for guitar its Super, slinky, heavy bottom, and heavy/super. i think i got it right. anyways, slinky is basicly just a word that ernie ball ueses
