whera are all the s.c. bassists? i see very few here on talkbass. so if yer out there in s.c. speak up and let us know where you are in s.c.

I know there are some innovative musicians and decent bands around here, but holy crap! the only ones that get any attention (even in the small press) are achingly average cover bands and acoustic frat-rock-type bands. Sooo....good luck. :hiding: be on the lookout for Slobozoku, the band i'm in. we're haven't played "out" much, but we're starting to. we do a sorta noisy glitch-rock sorta thing. Oh, and to answer someone's question before about any music stores in the area really worth seeing, there really aren't many. There's a music store in the Coastal Grand Mall called Andy Owings where I've seen a Squier Classic Vibe bass priced at $549. No joke.
