Well, after playing this bass out a few times, Ive decided Im not a 4 string player anymore. I assembled this bass for my senior project, and used only high quality parts. The bass sounds awesome with the Audere preamp, and plays great, but like I said, Im just not a 4 string player.
Heres the list of parts I used:
- Fender '62 Reissue Jazz body
- Warmoth Jazz neck, Maple/Wenge
- Fender Custom Shop 60's pickups
- Audere 3 band preamp
- Gotoh 201 bridge
- Hipshot Vintage style tuners
All of the parts together for this bass cost almost $1000. Id like to get $575 including shipping. The only thing is it doesnt have matching strings on it, the G broke, so it has an odd-ball on it. It also has an imperfection in the paint on the bottom of the body where my dumb drummer dropped a soldering iron on it, and when smoothing the frets, the "non-stick" tape decided to stick to some of the finish on the neck. None of this affects the playability of the bass. Ill take some close up pics of these.
Any questions or anything, PM, email, or post here.
