GREETINGS AND SALUTATIONS

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey everyone!

My name is Eli Marcus and I am new to talkbass. I just posted this to say hey and that you should be seeing me around the posts and I'm really gonna try and be active. I love it so far!

I can offer advice on classical double bass, jazz double bass, jazz electric bass, and most any other style electric bass.

I have really tried to learn as much as possible about the bass and music thus far in my life and I know I have a lot of time ahead of me.

If you want you can visit my website at

THANKS!

Hello Eli and a BIG welcome to you!

Since you are new, well.. here are the 'rules' on "Talk Bass"..

1. If it moves salute it
2. If it doesn't, paint it

Rattman, you ain't so old-school here yourself, Mr. July 06 ;).

Welcome to TB, Eli. Read through the website -- quite a list of accomplishments here. You'll find there's a lot of great resources on the site, including several (very) experienced old fogies. I suggest you check out the TalkBass Double Bass Sampler page (the Sampler subforum) and check out clips from Ed Fuqua, Paul Warburton, Ray Parker, and Chris Fitzgerald as soon as possible. Great players, great guys.

EDIT: I'm not sure how many other younger classical fellows are on the board, but Snakewood is a second year in the University of Toronto classical program (major kudos to him on that accomplishment) and Paul Cannon has posted some truly wonderful recordings. Both are 17-18.
