PollyBass 09-12-2001, 11:33 AM Darnet, i do use a p-bass. i guess ill just try some clacks or something ZoomBoy 09-12-2001, 12:38 PM I'd experiment with your midrange EQ and figure out the best frequencies to boost or cut. Try doing this while you are playing together as a band. Sometimes a great solo sound won't work when the whole band is playing together. You need to find out how you'd best fit into a sonic jigsaw puzzle. HeavyDuty 09-12-2001, 01:36 PM Simple! Do you have a straight pin, like a tailor would use? Simply stick the pin through your guitarist's instrument cable when he's not looking. Problem solved! PollyBass 09-12-2001, 02:08 PM Of course! a pin! im so stupid,,,,,should have thought of that before...... HeavyDuty 09-12-2001, 06:29 PM Pleased to be of assistance... ;) downstairs 09-13-2001, 08:02 PM Sometimes sound nice, but i think EWWW when my guitarist uses em, his guitar and my amp (guitar amp i lent him, fender super reverb, 4x10 with old tubes). And he uses a boss ds-1, keeps the tone knob straight, dist on full, very nice, and i just have a bass sound that goes boom, we sound cool. downstairs 09-13-2001, 08:03 PM sorry i couldn't be of help CaracasBass 09-13-2001, 08:15 PM Originally posted by PollyBass maybe i should put some high clacks in there? like mudvayne or korn? Hey Polly, Do you really think the sound od the bass on Mudvaynes record has a lot of "high clacks" like Korn????? Or you havenīt listened to mudvayne or you have some kind of ear dissorder Thereīs no way you can compare the sound (and the playing skills) of Ryan and Fieldy (Fieldy doesnīt have) I recomend you to get a good pair of headphones and put that record (LD50 of course) very loud, that bass sound its totally diferent to Fieldys, no "high clacks" but a lot of midrange, and I think its the best sound of a bass in all these "nu-metal" bands. I donīt want to be rude or something, just giving my opinion PollyBass 09-13-2001, 10:21 PM I just ment highs, sorry, i have exaples of both of there work, im saying to cut they use "clackeyness". i ment sharp highs. and no, i dont have a hearing disorder. Zonplayer 09-21-2001, 04:50 PM I would try boosting your bridge pickup volume. Do you have an E.Q. on your amp? |
