Hi,
this is my latest one. Body is mahogany with figured birch top, neck is mahogany/walnut veneer/maple with rosewood fingerboard. Bridge is Alembic-style brass home-made, pickup is Dark Star with brass surroundings. Finish in french polish.

It looks amazing, how does it sound?

I'm in awe. I have a couple of questions:

How big did you do the body? Is it about the size of an ES-335, or is it proportionally larger?

And how did you make the chambered parts? Did you just make the body normally, and then rout out the chambers? Or did you bend the sides (like an acoustic guitar or violin)?

I've been a fan of this body style for many years, and I've always wanted to build a bass of this sort.

That bass is absolutely beautiful Marko! I've never seen a Dark Star with brass surroundings before, but it looks great. Especially in combination with the brass bridge.

Nice!
