I'm finishing an alder body in reranch nitro (vintage cream). It has a thin sand/sealer coat and two nitro primer coats (I'm getting a little grain through, which I like). Should I be sanding between color coats or should I concentrate my sanding only on the clear coats?

It's really hard for me to not get "sand throughs" on the sides of the bouts because I tend to spray a little more lightly there to avoid runs and when I sanded with 800 on my second coat it got too thin on a bout and I wonder if I should just avoid that who scenerio.

you shouldnt be sanding on the colour coats unless you get dust or a run

How hard should I sand between clear coats. I've been doing a scruff sand as recommended by Stewmac but I wonder if I should be trying to pull out any eggshelling that happens. I'm mostly knocking down the gloss between clear coats, should I got deeper?

yes you should take out the eggshelling

I have about 4 coats of clear down and I just did a wet sand with mineral spririts and that took take of a lot of the eggshelling. I'm going to shoot another couple clear coats on top of that.
