Greetings, Michael -

I attended the bass clinic and concert you did here in Seattle last Saturday night (7/29) at the Christoff Gallery/6K4 Lounge and I must say you are THE most astounding and astonishing bassist I have ever seen (haven't seen Steve yet - certainly hope to!) - the depth & breadth of your musicality and technique, and your emotion and passion, are simply from another planet/dimension.

And it was easy to tell you absolutely love playing!

Having just picked up bass again a few months ago after not playing at all for over 6 years, seeing you live and up close (I couldn't have been more than 8-10 feet away, right in front for the entire evening) was a very real and important inspiration for me, esp. considering it was just you, your instruments, and your effects pedal.

By the way: what kind of Boss pedal gizmo was that you were using?

It was also nice to be able to buy "Soliloquy" and "The Book of Flame" directly from you after the concert. :)

So, I was wondering:

do you possibly have any of the Artist's Profile DVDs to sell?

And thank you so very, very much for a very important (to me) one-of-a-kind evening.

cheers,

Scott

Thanks so much for the very kind words, Scott! And thanks for e-mailing me about The Artist’s Profile.

The Boss pedal I was using is the GT-3. It’s quite a few years old now and out of production, but I just love it. It offers an amazing variety of possibilities in a single, compact unit. I wish they’d make more stuff like this!
