My old lead singer from The Knowbodys has had to relocate to San Bernardino, due to family needs. He has been pretty discouraged with the state of live music there. There isn't much. He'd like to put a band together and get something started, hoping that there are other cities within reasonable driving distance that have live music venues. He also wonders if there are places in San Bernadino and the surrounding that he just doen't know about yet.

He gave me the green light to ask around in here for a bassist.

He's fun to work with. Very laid back and positive. He likes to fly by the seat of his pants, and needs someone who can handle that. He's famous (infamous?) for introducing unrehearsed material during gigs. But I never minded that. His originals are awesome, and he is a prolific writer. He welcomes help with song development. He is also very cool about letting other people sing, so if you want to sing something, you'll get to. He likes to cover a variety of music, and the originals are mostly garage or alternative.

You can check out our old band MySpace page for a sample of what he writes: http://www.myspace.com/knowbodys. His personal MySpace is in the Top 8...Ron.

If you're interested, contact him in MySpace, or ask me for his personal e-mail. He's still in the process of getting settled in and all his stuff hooked up, so give him a couple of days to respond. He's using the local library computer until his web and e-mail service kicks in.

Bumping this. Can anyone help him out?

Even a referral for a venue in that area that books acoustic acts would be cool. He can do one-man acoustic shows. He'd rather work with a band, but he'd rather play *somewhere* than not play at all.

First time I saw this, I was wishing I had the power to move it to the bassists wanted forum, but now, I DO have that power ;)

Best of luck to your friend, I wish I was in the area. Sounds like my kind of gig.

There are plenty of venues in the I.E. He should check out Angels Road House in Yucaipa. I think they have an open mic/jam night on Mondays......
