Purple see-through finish, diamondwood fb with fretlines, ash body, bart pickups, 2 band preamp.

Absolutely the best fretless I have ever played. The only small niggle is that the LG body makes it slightly neck-heavy but it's not too bad if I wear it up pretty high.

These pix (from the original seller) don't do it justice.

It just sounds incredible. I'm totally blown away. Every roscoe I've played is just the best in its class.

JZ,
Congratulations man!! I have loved my Roscoe fretless for almost 4 years now! It has the best fretless tones you can think of. Jaco, upright-ish, P bass, classical-ish, etc.

I know the feeling!!:bassist:

How did you find out about it? And aren't you a 6-string player? Is this an adjustment for you?

I found it on bassgear.com. The original owner, Dean Schmidt is a MONSTA player. He did a CD with it that he's sending me when he complete the final mix.

The action is super low on this bass and it ends up contributing hugely to the growl of the instrument. Just phenominal.

And...I am a 6 string player but the 6 is a monster to play on a long gig. Plus, I have the 6 tuned E-E which is great when doing chords, solos, and playing duo or trio...

However, I miss having the low B string...I have a LeCompte 5 that's a lot lighter and easier to play and has a wonderful groove tone and fabulous low B string. The fretless Roscoe is a great compliment to that
