Got a fantastic bass-centric gig coming up next week. It's part of my Recycle Collective (http://www.recyclecollective.com) monthly gig series, and the two special guests thing month are drummer Seb Rochford and double bassist Andy Hamill.

Seb Rochford was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize last year with his band Polar Bear, and is definitely one of the finest drummers I've ever played with. He's also in Acoustic Ladyland, and has done Jools Holland's show a couple of times over the last year.

Andy Hamill is double bassist to the stars having played with 4 Hero, Carleen Anderson, Shea Seger, Theo Travis, Mark Murphy, Nitin Sawhney, Chris Bowden, Boris Grebenshikov, Cara Dillon, Tracey Thorn, Kylie Minogue, Ben Castle, Ursula Rucker and Harry Hill! - bearing testimony to his boundless musicality.

It's on at Darbucka World Music Bar (http://www.darbucka.com) in Clerkenwell, London, next Wednesday, 23rd August, doors 7pm, music starts 8pm, tickets are £7 / £5 concessions (NUS/OAP/MU - bring proof!)
