not sure if this is the right forum, but i live in washington dc (nw, in adams morgan) and looking for a teacher. open to just about any style, as long as it makes me better and is worth the money.

There's an extraordinary blues/roots rock bassist in NoVA named Johnny Castle who I believe gives lessons when he's not on the road. It may be a Metro ride or (shudder) drive on the beltway away for you, but would be well worth it. I learned a lot just from watching him play a few gigs and spieling for a few minutes between sets. And if he doesn't give lessons anymore or can't fit you in, there's a good chance he could point you to someone else.
