Like smoke! The honey moon is officially over, guys... :(:bawl: I just loved the way it smelled... but the fact is - I'm a working class musician that plays in clubs...

I have already searched how to remove the stank', but it doesn't seem as though anything can be done... the good thing is that i'm really starting to be at Juan with the bass. :smug::D:p

Carry on, people, carry on..

It's like when Jaco still had puppy breath! Now his breath smells like A.S.S. and my bass smells like smoke... :(

NJ,
If you are able, take the bass and case outside, out of direct sunlight, and just let it get fresh air. And I'm talking leave it out there for 4 - 5 hours....IF you can. After playing at a bar, my clothes just stink! I would put them outside and just let them air out. It would get rid of the cigarette/beer smell.

Is that possible for you?

NJL, check out this thread http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=265154&highlight=remove+stink

It has some interesting info on removing smell from a bass.:)

Just make sure you don't remove the funk as well.;)

Move to a civilized state- one that has no smoking in bars ;)
