I've only been playing bass for about 2 years now, but I've been playing guitar since I was 11 (25 now) and Resonator guitar for about 4 years as well. And a little harmonica in between:)

I play in a funk/groove/jam band in South Carolina. My current setup is a Lakland 44-02 Deluxe with a Epiphone T-bird for backup. I have a Fender BXR200 combo amp but I'm getting a full Ampeg B2R/B-series cabs stack in the next couple days that I found for sale on craigslist.

I really want to learn more about creating awesome tone. For some reason, shaping sound really facinates me... learning about khz values and what each adjustment on an EQ will do, etc.

I hope one day I can achieve the tone of some of my idols like Phil Lesh, Mike Gordon, Rob Derhak, and my all-time favorite, George Porter Jr.:bassist:
