Hey Folks,

Here's a question about an obscure recording:
Does anyone know who played on the cover of Kashmir that was in the movie Bad Lieutenant(sp?) from the early 1990's with Harvey Keitel. It's in the movie briefly, just a verse or two and it's Jimmy Page's gtr part slapped on a 5 string.

btw- I don't think it was Keitel http://www.talkbass.com/ubb/wink.gif

I dunno; my guess was Keitel...I do know the Dregs did a version of the tune.
Why not hit www.cdnow.com (http://www.cdnow.com) & do a song search
for "Kashmir"?
...and lemme know!

Hey squid,

check out Lenny White, "Edge". I believe you'll find what you're looking for. http://www.talkbass.com/ubb/wink.gif

Hey Jim,

Thanks for the response and link. CD Now didn't have the soundtrack(not a big surprise-Bad Lieutenant didn't have any radio friendly music on the soundtrack, although the movie itself was boycotted when it first came out).

If that's an older Dregs recording you mentioned then most likely that's not what was in the flick but I'll try to get my hands on that anyway.

Thanks again!

So it's Lenny White?

Jim-
The Dregs' version is fairly recent(mid-'90s w/ Dave Larue on bass).
