OK, I have/have had both EXTRAPOLATION and WHERE FORTUNE SMILES, but this is an entirely more happening animal. I guess originally recorded for BLUE NOTE but released on another label? VERY happening, VERY out, me VERY happy.

Extrapolation is another great one. It was originally supposed to have Dave Holland on it, but word is he signed on with Miles at the same time, and had to bow out.

Yeah, I think I had prolly blown past this one earlier, thinking that it was another funk album (like NATIVE DANCER), but this 9to me) is what organic, free bag blowing is all about.

The story I heard was that Chick was thinking about joining the Mahavishnu Orchestra on drums, but decided to concentrate on piano.

Moto Grosso was actually recorded much earlier than its release date in the mid-70's.... didn't mean to imply that it was of the same vintage as Native Dancer in my earlier post.
