Hey all,

I've recently run into a problem in trying to teach myself slapping and popping. When go to slap the A or E, to a pop on the D or G right after. It's like my thumb doesn't bounce off the string. My thumb just stops on the string.

If that was a terrible explanation I apologize, but this is driving me crazy.

Thanks

That happened to me too. All you need to do is just slow yourself way down and focus on your thumb coming off the string as you slap. Once you get comfortable with it, increase the speed. Good slap technique doesn't happen overnight.

It takes at least two nights:)
