Hi Janek,

First of all, I must say that I have appreciated all of your input on this forum. You seem like a well versed, nice gentleman that plays some great music. It is nice to see someone really passionate for something... I enjoy reading your comments, because the passion for the stuff you do, flows out of them!

I saw on you myspace schedule that you were going to the European Bass Day... But I didn't see you in the program list of the EBD? Will you be performing there? Or just hanging out at the boot stands?

Perhaps I will be there, not shure yet since I live in Belgium and it is a couple of hours driving... Of course if you are playing there, the incentive of getting to see you play live, would be so much greater...

If you come, will you have your CD for sale overthere?

Best regards,
In Christ,

Fernando

He's playing (as far as I know), at the UK Bassday on November 19th in Manchester.

You can get his CD from CDBaby, there's a link from Janeks website, delivery to Europe only takes 3/4 days, it's well worth buying, a really excellent album, that really captures a great performance, it's live.

ciao Fernando,

I'm not going to be at the European bass day. They had contacted me and given me a time slot even, but it has since gone tits up and I've taken it out of my schedule. I'm going to be at the Bass Player Live event in NYC on the 28th and 29th of Oct and, as bassplayer2006 said, I'll be at the the UK bass day on my birthday on the 19th of nov! big party I think! I'm heading to Austin, Texas in the first 10 days of Nov. to cut a new record. I'm really excited about this as it's a huge departure for me. It's a singer/songwriter album where I'll mainly sing and play guitar. I'm taking my P-Bass with me and will play bass on most of the album. But Roscoe Beck lives down in Austin and I'm trying to get him on the date as he's perfect for the music.

I'll start a thread in here when it's nearing completion and keep everyone updated. I'll be tracking the band in Texas and then doing strings and horns when I get back to NYC. I hope to have some stuff up on my 2nd myspace page by mid november. www.myspace.com/janekgwizdala

there are just some pre production demos up there now, but stay tuned for tracks from the album.

I have a great drummer - Kyle Thompson - who's playing with Eric Johnson, who's playing drums on the record. As well as collaborations with a number of great musicians and old friends of mine J.J. Mcgeehan, Rob Bailey and Jake Owen.

Easy,

Janek
